Finally... New RS4 owner

Post by Ransom » Sun Oct 26, 2008 6:52 pm

Hi guys
Picked up a 2000 X reg black RS4 yesterday after wanting one for years.
Not too sure what options it has/hasn't got yet as I don't know a huge amount about these cars so if anyone could ask me the relevent questions hopefully between us all we can determine optional extras included/missing.

As i didnt have the car inspected before buying i would like to have it done by someone that knows these cars (although it has got full Audi history and Audi warrenty) so can anyone point me in the direction of the best rs4 specialists for inspections, servicing and tuning. I'm based in Essex.

I'll post a few pics up tonight

Thanks very much

Thanks, I have heard MRC mentioned lots on here.
These are the things i know for certain...
It doesn't have Sat-Nav or a sunroof and it also doesn't seem to have the aluminium mirrors and roof rails which i would like to have fitted.
Its has full black leather, black head-lining, centre arm rest, Bose stereo, Carbon trim, black interior door handles, standard wheels (not sure if they are soft or hard yet), standard brakes... pretty much a standard car i think

new rs4

Yes I've just bought one as well and joined the site tonight. Been amusing reading some of the threads.

Its a green black leather y reg 65k motore and absolutely love it. Had it for 3 months, c 5k miles, need to get discs sorted (think they might be warped). v slight clunk or definite delivery, 4th down to third but a pause sorts that out. I am also wondering about bushes but its all a bit technical for me so will rely on my local audi specialist garage.

Wanted one for ages, have had an s4 avant and sev older audi cabs and coupes and have an old 2.8 quatro coupe round the back of the farm but this takes the dog's biscuit.

Have to say, having recently had newer cabs and TTs, its a joy to go back to the simple basic stylish audis that came out of the 1990s. Absolute joy to drive and being a green estate really is rather subtle albeit I appreciate not everyone's cup of tea.

V V happy new rs4 owner. :
