What sizes are the various speakers in a B5 RS4.

What sizes are the various speakers in a B5 RS4.

Think they should be the same as the S4 in which case:

13cm / 5.25" fronts
17cm / 6.5" rears on the A4 saloon shelf - not sure on the RS4 avant rear doors, think they are are the same.

Watch the depth on the fronts, there's not a whole heap of room in there. Rainbow SLC230s at about 58mm fit nice, my Inifinity 5010cs at a little over 60mm deep are the limits as they cause the door skins to pop out a touch even after some work on the plastics - though I have added sound deadening at the same time.
If you are going for a component set you will need to do some mods to get a set of aftermarket tweeters in too as they use a very much proprietary fitment.

thanks bobbler - defo want to change the speakers, sub (incidentally do you know where its located) and amp. the bose is pretty weak in my opinion.

The sub is in the rear panel in the boot. Passenger side. You can just about make out the plastic box if you peer through the side of the CD changer.
You will need to remove the entire panel to get at it though, I found I couldn't get at it as a few of the bolts in the way where completely seized up, so just left it there disconnected.

It may be of some use, I would have assumed that the Bose system used the same size speakers......
