So how would you do it, take stock parts and wet lay them or take the parts off customers cars and wet lay on site?

Yes it will involve stock parts.

Well depending on price, and more importantly on interest, I will initially suffer the cost of maybe a new part, and then just take it from there, by me sending the finished item to the customer, and the customer sending me their old one back, and then keep that cycle going.

So basically on an exchange basis, but obviously finding a donor to start with, be it new or 2nd hand

This all sounds a bit bling to me - CF for extra strength / less weight is fine, but for looks alone (and extra weight) I'm out...

I think you'll find most parts available aftermarket are usually wet lay/lamination.

Proper dry carbon stuff, is usually a) very expensive, and b) due to limited quanties, it just ain't worth making a mould to create a totally new CF part.

Stuff you see in all interiors is lamination, and only proper CF parts are usually used by the manufacturer due to them having plenty of £££(i.e. Audi R8) or race teams.

I think you'll be quite surprised as to how much this process is used in automotive

I don't know if yours is a Avant or saloon, but I've seen someone buy some A6 (C6) LED rear lamps and then butcher them, and take out the inards and place them into his B7 Avant items. Obviously looks proper factory.

We won't be able to re-design the rear exhaust surround, so hence would be as you see it on your car now.
