Ok you asked!

Not tooooo bad. I use parcel2go and their rates are pretty cheap for the occasional parcel sender!

Assuming one seat weighs less than 25kg then it'll cost £64

However if they weigh anything up to 70kgs which is damn heavy, then it'll be £169

Not cheap, but not as expensive as I thought it might be...

Anyway this is not helping me!

no your right its not helping you lol... and im not too sure if this will help you either but i no that a few here in the states have done the conversion to the bucket seats and in fact did need a new harness as well as a few other things. they claimed that it was a PITA to do im not to sure how it goes the other way around tho

Both the buckets and "comfort" seats are made by recaro. The "comfort" seats DO have airbags (why NA-spec RS4's have them). The comfort seats are also all electric. But I love the look of the buckets!

Hi,

We have swapped the interior over for one of our customers. He got hold of the interior through Ebay IIRC and we swapped them for him. The only thing that didnt appear to be working was the foot lighting on the under side of the front seats - but this was just down to them being broken either in transit or removal from the old car. Otherwise everything else swapped over fine.

That's the best reply yet! Straight swap you say, did you need to reset anything on computer? What did your customer swap from to?

Thanks
Elliot

Hi Elliot,

He swapped from the buckets to the comfort seats. Nothing needed doing with the computer IIRC. As long as ignition is off when disconnecting any plugs etc then it should through any airbag lights on.

Aha, pretty much the same as I want to do...

Great, now I have two choices.

Lose weight or look for some Comfort seats.

Thanks for the replies...

So how does the airbag controller know that the front seats now have side airbags?
