I want something quite small but must have GPRS, Bluetooth and could be handy taking pictures to save me taking a camera to site visits, just lets see what eh new 6600 is like when it arrives later this month

Cheers

Bushy

Steve,
Check out the Panasonic X70. The X60 will probably be the world's smallest camera phone, but it hasn't got Bluetooth.

Riz I love your idea of what constitutes
..... a good quality phone which will last me and do the basic job... a phone!

When describing your Audi, do you tell people that its a handy little runabout, good on fuel, gets me from A to B?

any discount from Nokia John

Sorry Paul, no longerwork for them, and when I did I couldn't even get discount for myself !
They did occasional deals (like a sim for a year with 60 minutes a month free for 10 quid )

I'm after a new phone and as yet have not splashed the cash.
It'll be either another Nokia or a Sony-Ericcson for me.
Just waiting for my preferred choices to drop a bit in price.

Cheers,
John.

I've been searching for a phone for ages. My criteria are:
1. Camera (I don't have one)
2. Colour Screen (to show pictures!)
3. Bluetooth (For in-car use)
4. Nokia (for ease of use)

There is nothing currently on the market, but they are shortly to launch the Nokia 6600
and I want one

Bushy, a little tip for you.

Have a look on their web site and pick one of their shops outo f the way.
Then ring and ask to reserve one

I've heard that this has worked in the past.

Nokia 8910?? im fed up with mine, its been back to nokia twice now - the slider for the microphone makes the sound crackle and hiss!

I'm after a T610 now, purely cause of the bluetooth! (i'm running an old 6310i at the moment and it feels huge by comparison!

Do you guys know any blue tooth car kits? Would it make me able to use any blue tooth enabled phone in the car? What would happen if 2 blue tooth enabled phones get into my car?

I use the Nokia Bluetooth ear piece in my car. I works very well, you can make most calls just by using the button on the earpiece. It supports voice activated dialing.
You need to pair it to a phone, so it won't cause any problems if anothe Bluetooth phone is in range.

Mines got bluetooth (Ross' old car) .. it's great. It's the standard Nokia kit & a Nokia 6310i - never had a problem. Really handy & very tidy - there is one button next to the gear shift, press it to use voice activated dialing (std on the phone).

I had a Parrot Bluetooth car kit in my last Merc- but I would'nt recommend it. Did'nt work half the time, then when it did it either deafened you or was inaudible. You pair the phone with the car kit so 2 Bluetooth phones in one car is not a problem unless you pair them both.

The nokia car kit can be paired with up to 4 phones, but only one will ever be active. Priority is given to the oldest paired phone .. ie fade2grey now has the car and his phone is paired with it, but if I get in it chooses mine in preference over his, so I turn BT off ... but worked a treat!
