good news came today.....
after a chat with matt at turbo dynamics it seems that as we are going to be running the car on c16 race fuel, that we should have no problems making 1100 bhp......
cheers again matt.....

cheers guys im getting excited now too...
well the floor is now finished and the only major fabrication left to do is the bulkhead... as you see here
you can also see the bellhousing does not have an inspection cover.. this we needed, to do rounine clutch adjustments and re torque after each run..
problem.... andy does not do problems .... he just solves them..
just look at the bottom of the gearbox and you will see.. he is the best in the bussiness for a reason...
now we just drop the prop, unbolt the bellhousing and the whole thing slides back to give us full access to the clutch....GENIUS

the pedals were fabricated while i was there and trial fitted for comfort...
there is the steering column to finish, mount the fuel cell, batterybox, and parashute, some welding to finish... then we should have it back to get some paint on it .... 2 weeks time ?

I just lol'd at reading the word 'comfort' in this thread. Never before have I seen a word that looks like it shouldn't be in a sentence!
Not being au fait with dragsters, could you explain what all the 'cup holders' are for.

adam... its funny you say about the one seat as i only asked today if the reg's allow me to mount another for taking passengers out... and i can

and yes the engine is about 16 inches further back now, behind the centerline of the front wheels..
we should have the car home in the next 2 weeks or so for painting... im hoping this can be compleated for oct11th, for you all to come and see on the rs246 stand at audi driver 2008 in 3 weeks, but i might be pushing it a bit.... fingers crossed phill

Whoa! Only just been tipped off about this - haven't I, Jack?
There's a lad on the RS2 side of things who wants to go drag gracing in an Audi. He's got about six quid to spend, so I'll send him over as well.
