Ken
If you've still got it when Ford release the Focus Cosworth at the end of next year, I'll consider it
Mind you, It'll probably go up in price then won't it

Mick, nice looking motor. I know they go very well as Dunc had a spot of trouble with one last week - bear in mind that he's chipped, the two cars were near enough evenly matched, however at higher speeds (100mph +) Dunc's car would probably have gained on it.

Hope you enjoy it..
M3 CSL - Silver Grey, a few options.

Nice car Mick - glad you got it - hot hatch heaven some might say!

When I think about it I have never ever beaten another performance car in my S3 - Focus RS or Impreza - never all these 'races' are from low speeds up to about 80 odd - in the case of the Imprezas I always feel above 80 mile an hour I start to reel them in but below that nothing to write home about.

Although I overtook two Imprezas at Donington (old ladies driving them probably) and 'kept up' with a P1

Its always neck and neck (apart from when an Impreza drove about 1 inch from my boot on the M1 when I had my APR chip)

The RS could've been chipped as well. With a Bluefin (Superchips), de-cat, and after market exhaust they are pushing around 250-260bhp. There is one going around that has around 280bhp as well
I've never actually come up against one on the road while driving the S3
Driving both of them, they are 2 totally different cars. Power wise they might be very similar but the Focus just doesn't appear to be as quick as the S3.
I'm trying to convince the Missus to give the Focus a little blast while I'm in the S3, but she's not having any of it yet!

When I have done some more milage in the RS (if I can prise it way from 'er indoors) I might be able to give a comparison. When I'm on nights next I'll have to take the RS into work (16 miles each way on wide A roads and loads of roundabouts) and try to beat the time it usually takes to get into work in the S3 from door to door (13 minutes).

Still I think the RS looks the part. Neighbours must think we've won the lottery or someting
