Just thought I'd say hello & give a quick intro!
Bought my S6 saloon at the end of March.

2001 (reg'd 1st March, grrrr)
120k full Audi history
I had it LPG converted pretty much straight away by AFS in Slinfold (highly recommended).
Have now covered 10k averaging about 18 mpg on gas, mostly on the motorways.
I'll whack up a pic later.

No real difference in performance - maybe the tiniest smidge less.
The conversion was £2.5k.
The filler is near the petrol filler cap & colour coded. Doesn't look too bad.
Average price for LPG around my area is 59p. Still works out about 35mpg equivalent.
I expected about a 20% drop in mpg when on gas. My trip tells me I'm averaging 25 mpg - that's about a 27% drop (if the trip is accurate). It's been back to AFS and all is working perfectly. I've just changed the plugs ahead of schedule (been in for 30k) to see if that helps. I also checked the air filter - it was a bit grotty so I banged it out the best I could and will invest in a K&N. Will see if that improves the mpg a bit.
Haven't been able to get out & take a piccy due to our poxy summer weather.
I absolutely love the car. It's perfect for my motorway commute. Solid & comfy with plenty of power if need be!

Hi, just a quick question. Is your road tax any cheaper because your car is dual fuel? It's just I found this
However, for those cars registered after 2001and converted to run on LPG, owners who submit the appropriate documentation (e.g. LPGA LPG Conversion Certificate - click here for details) to the DVLA can request that the taxation class is changed to 'Alternative Fuel Car' and will then be eligible for a standard reduction on VED.

Break even is about 35-40k at current prices/mpg. I intend to keep it for three years covering 20-25k per year.
There are arguments for and aginst LPG. If you cover enough miles to (at least) pay for the conversion, then it makes financial sense.
Hopefully I will see a slight mpg improvement with the new plugs & air filter. We shall see!
