Replacement Spark Plugs

Post by West29 » Fri Aug 22, 2008 2:20 pm

Well there's not many hits for spark plugs in the corner of the forum. Does this mean that OEM is fine? Does anyone have any strong opinions?

I replaced mine last year and chose NGK Iridiums as opposed to OEM. Why? Iridiums give a stronger spark and I do not intend to go 40-50K before replacing them. The four prongs on the OEM's are primiarily for longevity.

Thanks Bling. Excuse me being a duffer but what does the stronger spark mean to me? Also how often do they need to be changed if less than the OEM recommended 40,000?
