it was for a 1.8 zetec. And yes sports cats and tubular manifold. Used our own back boxes but had to split either side. we paid 650, should of been more like a grand but was for a demo car. If you tell them that 'Perkins Automotive' sent/adviced you to go and that we told you that they will do you a special price you should get looked after.

Blueflame

Post by FlyRS6 » Sun Jul 27, 2008 8:57 pm

Hi gang sorry for delay in replying to this thread. I know I said in an earlier post I would put some feedback on for my catback system from Blueflame performance who took my car as a donor vehicle to develop the system.

My first impressions where a little flat as the sytem saw an almost unnoticeable difference in sound and as i'm sure you're all well aware this is half the fun the rasp of a V8.The reason for this was I had asked for a resonated centre box system

However, i returned the car and had the mid boxes removed to run a rear box system and the car seem much better in terms of flow and the sound is incredible. It sound like a true V8 now and I LOVE IT

i'm going to get it over to Unit 20 to get Grizz to have a look and see what he thinks and will let you all know once he approves or dissapproves

its the post above your one or 2 up from this one

It sounds absolutely awesome. Grizz pulled off in my car the other day and I was beeming :D from the sound it made and thought ...yeh thats 'my' car

looks good too and cant say if theres an improvement in performance as since had the car Custom Code Remapped at Unit 20  , All I can say is they used the same diameter and grade of stainless as Milltek et al

Give them a call theyll be competative and fit it there and then now they have the design from having used my car as the donor for design

Going by Supersprint exhausts I have seen in the past, and on my own car, I can't see you going wrong with them.

Better quality than most other exhaust manufacturers out there, supplier to other leading brands.

I can supply for the RS6, a Supersprint 100% Stainless Steel system, with 145mm x 95mm oval tailpipes, for £1360 incl. VAT. This is for the middle and 2 rear silencers.

my mate used to work for Blueflame doing the development work and they are very good systems. Now has his own company called Pipewerx doing the samething. Based in Parbold, near Wigan. He also sells Lotus Elises/Exiges with 1.8T conversions.

Just offering an alternative option.

Didn't realise the other systems out there were so cheap.
