I have prepared a lengthy report much more thorough than the posting in the link above.
My report basically shows what a sham the Audi franchise system is in conjunction with Sytner and AUDI UK not only when it comes to complaints, but also in dealing with the problems with cars they sell to the public. It seems this is another case where AUDI have no power whatsoever over the behaviour of their dealerships and the treatment thereof of the customers buying their cars. This is an example where the actual business owner of an AUDI dealership should address the problem(s) at the outset and settle fairly but instead they are prepared to take the customer all the way to court, only to lose as they hope the customers will give up during this expensive, stressful and time-consuming procedure. I personally was not prepared to be one of these customers and after two years was proved correct and will be getting the car back following a £20,000 bill and legal fees to be paid by Sytner.
I have given AUDI West London’s owner (Mr. Ray Campbell) and even Sytner’s MD (Mr. Gerard Nieuwenhuys) plenty of opportunity in the last two weeks to apologise for their management of the case but have had no reply. I have now decided to try and make my case as public as possible.

RE: Re: Car journalists recommendations
It may be worth having this moved to the ownership section, as there will be other owners, not just B5 RS4 owners, who have experienced the quality service offered by some dealerships. I know of at least one other owner on the forum who has had issues with Sytner dealerships, as well as others (myself included) who have discovered their car has been modified - how difficult is it to put a specialist car on a rolling road to confirm power output FFS?
From personal experience, Audi Customer service appear to be able to deal with generic issues but are powerless as far as dealers are concerned, and will only bounce you back to the source of the problem - this makes an Approved Audi Guarantee meaningless, as Audi CS appear powerless to enforce the obligations of the scheme. IMHO the best thing Audi UK could do is take the dealer network in-house.
