gearbox whineing

hi all.iv got a problem with my gearbox 2 gear upto 5th at over 2000rpm i get a whine seems to be getting louder.cars on 100.000 is it worth changing the oil in gearbox and diffs.if so what oil is best. :) thanxs

Well I would say it was deffinately worth the oil change.

Certainly before you decide to change any box.

I don't know what oil to put in, but i'll be able to tell you in about 4 hours when the post comes. Just ordered a service manual. :-)
Why do they call it rush hour when nothing moves!?!

Standard S4, but not for long.

just call audi with your chassis number they will supply you the correct oil
1999 S4 bi turbo imola yellow,grey pearl wheels,now with KO4's.
2001 A6 avant 2.5 tdi,the work horse
