S5 20" RS4 Alloys

Post by ARSEY4 » Fri Jul 18, 2008 9:25 am

I didnt realise these were available. Im sure they would look too big on the RS4 but I saw some pictures of an S5 with h&r lowered springs and 15mm spacers at the rear and 8mm at the front and it looked fantastic. If they do bring an RS version out and they get the rear end right thats going to look really good. IMHO at the rears on the S5 do not come out far enough.

If they are the RS4 style rims that are for the S8 then yes thay do fit the RS4 and S5. I believe Youry was selling them

No they are actually exactly the same as the rs4 alloys but 20". They are on the S5 configerator and also on a couple of s5s on the used Audi locator.

If they are for the S5 won't they have a different offset to the RS4 wheels?

I dont know. 20s look too big on rs4 anyway, was really posting to say they look good on an s5 when lowered with spacers.

How do the S8 wheels differ from the RS4 ones?

There's some pictures of an RS4 on 20" wheels on RS6 - IMHO it looks OK.

Thanks.

Was only because I was considering getting some 20s from Youry (S8 wheels), but am now worried they are slightly different looking to the RS4 ones.

I think 20s on a RS4 looks good without the SS+, but with it, it's sits a bit too low on them.

20" S5 Wheels

Post by S4GFO » Fri Jul 18, 2008 8:32 pm

I have the 20" S5 wheels on my RS4 saloon, they are the correct offset ET29 but the centre hole size is 66.6mm rather than 57.1mm so spigot rings are required and you also need 8mm spacers at the front to clear the brake callipers.

Is it me or they don't curve as much towards the middle of the wheel(?)

Looks great anyhow!

IIRC you are right, they are not as concave. Did toy with upping the wheel size on mine, however I'll go the lowering of car route to fill the arches, save spiggots and spacers and increased component stress levels.

Audiguy,
in your link above there's a photo of a B7 RS4 in Sprint blue which appears to have a black glass roof.

Was this an option do you know ?
Mint Optic Pack saloon in Daytona Grey (Now sold)
B7 RS4 in Sprint Blue (Gone to a very good new home)
Evo V1 (wish i'd kept)
Numerous M3s
