That too much you think?
I'm wanting a vaguely swift sale so in this day and age should I not be wanting that price?
Thanks

Matt , It sounds like a nice car. I've had trouble selling a 03 saloon for 15.5k .It's the wrong time to sell with the fuel price and the economic down turn.

i was thinking of selling mine in the next month or 2 but as grizz says big engine cars are not the cars to buy at the moment, so i`m gonna get another years warranty and have another year of smiling

i have mine up for 26k, its tuned by AMD and has a few other bits but i have now sold it to 5 different people!! Everyone of them have been to see many other Rs6's before mine but report they are all in crap condition or loads of miles. The problem is that they all have a car of there own to sell first and i dont want to take a p.x. If your car is mint im sure it will sell but things are very slow at the moment. I think 22k is a fair price for the correct car.

I was talking about this to the missus today. The new car tax rises and petrol prices have meant that the values of our cars have plummetted. Certainly in my case this makes me *even less* likely to get rid of it for something else since that would only be realising the hit. Why would I sell the car for a thousands loss when I compare that to the extra couple of hundred per year on car tax?
What else can you get get for 20k that does all that the rs6 does ??? I'm keeping mine , so what if i have to pay £100 a year extra ...They recon were paying £900 a year extra for our weekly shopping ....U going to stop shopping !!!!!

Grizz, you are a man after my own heart. You sell your 6 people, the Fookin green lefty bazzards have won, Solidarity in adversity, Its the only way.
Alter your driving styles, shop at tescos and save 8p per litre, or even run it on semi skimmed petrol until you need it BUT DONT SELL UP BOYS!
Its a sure fire way of ensuring the value of our cars DOES plummet- its a Northern Rock scenario!

Grizz you're absolutely spot on... I'm trying to get a job in Edinburgh so I can keep the RS6. Only problem is it's not really a commuter's car for 100 miles a day for a lowly teacher's salary (plus loan repayments).
So if I can't sell my car... anyone know of a teacher's job going in Edinburgh?!

Yep, I'm keeping mine for the time being, until something better comes along at least...

It costs £57 to fill my wife's Focus auto 1.6's tank up and £85 for the RS6. She might get 20-40 miles a tank more than me, but the thing is I just don't care. If I have to drive to work every day I want to enjoy it!
Besides if you do sell up, how much petrol money will you be losing in selling/cost of change?

Grant! I've missed you! where you binto mate?
I filled up tday on tesco 99. 123.9 pl. 5p pl off 118.9pl. Cheap enough.
Its a <beep> time for everyone at the moment, and I like a lot of folks are feeling the pinch, but I still maintain that if we all keep calm we can weather the storm. I would sooner let my 6 rot away than sell it for 15k to some smarmy chancer who is taking advantage of the current financial situation.

Hi Alex, been on hols with the family mate (hence no time to fix brakes before Combe).
I hear what you are saying about the '6 and weathering the storm. If petrol prices were that bad I'd be tempted to get a cheap diesel for the commute. I guess some have to factor in loan payments which might be the straw that breaks the camel's back given the increase in cost of living. Anyway I'm in negotiations with the bosses to work from home 3 or 4 days a week which seems like a much better option to me!
If anyone thinks they'd get mine for £15k, not a chance; I'd rather have her crushed (the car I mean!)!
