some have said that aftermarket hd kits are a lot brighter than the oem. views?

Darren
My OEM had been upgraded thats why i used them. If i had not upgraded it i would have just used the H7 kit.

Do the lights still auto level?

I'm clearly being a dumbass here, but what do you actually need other than what's been stated below?

1) Facelift headlight units
2) HID upgrade kit for facelift lights
3) Lighting wiring looms from facelift car.

Auto leveling still works. And that's pretty much it. Lights, Facelift plugs and wires and your original hid bulbs and balasts.

My lights defo auto-level, so no need to even get a HID kit for me? Fantastic news if that's the case!

Seeing as how my lights auto-level on my pre-facelift, would I actually need to buy a HID kit if I was to get facelift headlights? - eg: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/AUDI-A4-1999-TO-2 ... dZViewItem

All u need to do is get an electric motor to fit te headlight and wire it up to your existing connections. HID or Normal it makes no difference. HID is a must tho IMHO

It would be easier to list parts used, to make it simple .

Sorry, still being a dumbass here.

You said that you need to buy a Xenon kit to replace the pre-facelift one.
h8cak wrote:You will need to buy a H7 Xenon kit tho to replace the prefacelift xenon DS2 fitting bulbs.
Is this not strictly true then?

Also, Darren said:
S4 wrote:explain to them that you can do it with a non xenon unit, and just add a hd kit. ok its not leveling, but.... So you could pick up a cheap set of lamps and add the hid kit.
So could you have the lamps without the levelling motors?

A complete shopping list would be nice.
