Guys .... these are the quotes I am getting for the Extracare Warranty Direct Policy:

Network Garage
£73.71 pm or £843.07 per yr

Franchised Dealer
£87.97 pm or £1011.68

How did you go about negotiating these rates ?

I've got an 02 reg Audi still with the full extended cover. Go to another dealer and demand an extension to your existing cover.
Any other warranty is not worth the paper its printed on.

How did you get this ???? Its not upto the dealer but the Warranty company? I bought the car used as well so just transferred the warranty policy.

Didn't have a problem on mine.
Went in for a service, renewed, paid the notes, and was done.
As I said, try another dealer with a decent warranty manager who know what he's talking about.

As for running the '6 without a full dealer warranty? Box is 6k, Clocks 600, DRC 3k, EGT 1k etc etc.
No brainer :)

I didn't accept their online policy but filled in my contact details. They phoned up within a couple of days and dropped the price, haggled for a bit on the details (no DRC, tuned etc, franchised rates etc) and the rest is history. I just hope they pay up if I have to make a gearbox or turbo claim...

According to Audi Guarantee Administration Services, the cover does indeed change from 'All components' to 'Named components' for cars over 5 years.

The price does include Roadside Assistance though.

Just got a better quote from Warranty Direct through the post .........

£763.55 with Franchised Dealer Rate.

Thats £1000 cheaper than the Audi one. Okay, its got a max. claim of £5000, no Roadside assistance, but effectively still gives you some peace of mind.
