What is the servicing on these cars, I had oil change @ 10,000 miles but that's all...

Mine was in last week for it's first service at 15000 miles. Got them to check the shocks (of course!) which were OK apparently. They did a software upgrade which doesn't seem to have had any negative effect. Fixed a couple of minor things (rattling RS4 steering wheel badge being the main one!). Failed to fix another minor thing so needs to go back again.
Just over £300 + VAT which I didn't think was too bad really. But boy did the A4 TDi loaner feel slow!

Don't let them wash it .. unless you think a grit scrub is a good idea ... don't believe me, eye up a clean non swirl area and then look it when the car comes back ....

Andy that reminds me of years ago when the Boy Scouts did "Bob a Job Week" which, for all you younger lot out there, a bob was an old shilling which, today is 2and a half P and they would knock on your door and ask if you had any jobs you wanted doing, well of course they were given lawns to cut, shopping to do but one of the most popular was washing people's cars.
I'll never forget my Dad gave them the bucket of hot soapy water with sponge then, after a while he looked out the window andI heard him shout at the top of his voice, NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO !!!!!!!!!
I ran to see what the problem was and here were two boys STANDING on the bonnet, leaning against the windscreen to reach the roof, one boy jumping off the bonnet to get more hot water.
Of course the car bonnet was covered in scratches and it cost a hell of a lot more than a "bob" to put it right.
Needless to say, no more jobs for the Boy Scouts !!

Na forget the swirls ive had them ..how about ...it goes in for a software update,,,,,. They clean your car ,and ,,,AAARRRggghhh,,, and then you notice it ......
They have used an alkaline based cleaner on the wheels and taken the anodised finish off the rear discs, front discs, and ruined the finish on the rear calipers...!!! Its all being replaced as i type at
a cost of £3000.. yes £3k being paid by the contract cleaning firm they use to clean !! well not clean but rub down cars... at Swindon Audi

F$$$$$G Hell !!!
I bet you inspect it with a fine tooth comb when you go to collect.
Surely you must be entitled to some compensation, or have they an RS4 for sale ???

So how is the RS6?
Dropped my car in for some work today and walked straight past their new RS6 TWICE before I realised what it was. Just doesn't have the same presence as the RS4. I'm sure it's rapid in a straight line though.

So how is the RS6 ? (Quote)
Fistly it's a fuelalholic and there's so many dials that you don't know what does what and when I went to replace the fuel i'd used, as requested, i COULD NOT find the
filler cap release button. Yes it's very fast but there is a definite hesitation with the auto box.
I didn't drive it too hard, thinking about what i'd say after damaging a £77,000 car, but would be very interesting to drive a manual saloon if they're going to build one.
Got back to dealership and everyone on service desk asking what i thought, was honest and told them i wouldn't swap it for my RS4.
Must say, service, staff attitude very good at North East Audi on Silverlink Tyne and Wear, had my car serviced by an Audi mechanic recommended on this forum, he
knows who he is thanks, so feel very confident will have no problems.

Cheers Victor. I can't get past the weight issue. That is one heavy car.
