New to Audi - looking for bits

Post by Golffather » Sun May 18, 2008 10:10 pm

Hi all, new to the Audi scene having just acquired an S6 - switched over from the dark side ;)

I'll get some pics up soon.

I'm after a few bits and would appreciate some pointers from where I can source economically..

1. RS6 Grille
2. Genuine Carpet Mats
3. Rear Ski Hatch

Thanks in advance :)

Welcome to the forum... and to proper big bhp motoring ;)

1) Try dsgwagen on ebay or VAGPARTS
2) as above
3) Part number is 4B5885215B - Common to the A4/A6 so look out for it on ebay - eg http://cgi.ebay.de/Skisack-Audi-A6-4B-A ... 18Q2el1247

golffather

for the mats i had to order them off Audi, VAGPARTS can't do them cause they order directly from Germany and the mats are RHD only

would be interested in the RS6 grille myself if you manage to get it done

cheers

Update: Genuine NEW front mats were sourced from ebay at a fraction of the dealer cost.
Ski-hatch too. Not going ahead with the RS6 grille as it's an S after all ;)

No other cosmetic mods planned.

i'm still waiting on the mats, they're on back order to see if any dealer has them in the UK or Ireland, if not they have to be made in Germany....could be waiting a while

Where'd you get the mats from Golffather, I really need to get them in, where they from a private or trade seller

I'm thinkin of blackin out the chrome around the car, total euro look.......just an idea at the minute

Total black out will look nice if done well, otherwise the chrome look is nice.

yeah i like the look of it at the minute, but if I go stealth I want to get the wheels refurbed and done dark grey to match the look, so its a thinker at the minute, one of my mates has suggested black tape just to get an idea of what it would look like, rather than doing it properly with paint and it lookin really bad, I thought he was mad at first but its not a bad idea......

You must have got real lucky with the mats, i'd been searchin ebay for ages, good job

One of those things mate, normally takes ages to find something at the right price but then the late night finishing time to the auction helped....

Paid around £28 incl delivery ;)

$tealers were charging triple that!

Black tape will give you an idea - if I was buying an RS6 i'd make sure it had the optics pack so no silver to be seen!
