connecting up a cd changer in a B5 S4

Post by dubwhizz » Mon Jun 23, 2008 9:21 am

My S4 has an ipod cable in it, and i want to swap it back to the cd changer so i can hand the cd's back to the previous owner.

the cable comes from the back of the passenger footwell, does that mean that somewhere there will be access to the back of the headunit from the footwell, or do i have to drag the head unit out and work it out from there?

Also, does the audi music interface have more control over the ipod than the dension cable ive got? I wouldnt mind being able to skip albums if possible but i cant do with the dension cable.

okay you will need to pull headunit out and reconect the original plug then go too boot and connect changer if disconected ,best option for you is to replace headunit with a good ipod control unit for fast album/artist searches

replacing the head unit isnt an option, ive swapped head nits in so many cars, im loving the sound quality of the audi/bose and dont want to muck with head units any more

love the styling of the car with original in place.

how do i get the unit out? i can see two holes for keys in the bottom of the facia, am i in the right area?
