Sorry if the question has been posted before, but does anyone have a complete list of parts needed for a basic K04 upgrade (360ish bhp, std injectors to start with).
I found this list on the internet, but don't know if its complete:
RS4 K04 Turbocharger, left 078 145 703 M (5304 988
0025)
RS4 K04 Turbocharger, right 078 145 704 M (5304 988
0026)
induction pipe RH (Turbo inlet pipe) 078133610H
induction pipe LH (Turbo inlet pipe) 078133609H
induction pipe RH (up-pipe) 078133610G
induction pipe LH (up pipe) 078133609G
induction pipe connecting hose - 2 off 078 145 719 P
turbo-downpipe gaskets – 2 off 8D0 253 115 F
turbo-downpipe nuts - 8 off N 903 690 01
turbo-downpipe studs – 8 off N 907 787 01
turbo oil line gaskets – 2 off 058 145 757 B
exhaust manifold to turbo gaskets - 2 off 078 145 039
On a similar note, does anyone have a list of part number that should be changed when doing the cambelt (which I'll do at the same time), the car is a 2000 facelift avant.
Thanks for all the help
Steve
K04 Upgrade help
RE: K04 Upgrade help
Would also be interested to know, incase I was to do the upgrade without resorting to the usual culprits

Re: K04 Upgrade help
If you are going to all that hassle and expense for 360bhp you may as well get some intercoolers and injectors and go for 400 IMHO.rs6red wrote:Sorry if the question has been posted before, but does anyone have a complete list of parts needed for a basic K04 upgrade (360ish bhp, std injectors to start with).

It'd be madness not to replace the oil feed pipes. Cheap to buy and very costly if they're partially blocked with carbon.
Consider the clutch, either full upgrade (clutch, flywheel and driven plate) or just use replacement rs4 clutch and pressure plate.
IMHO intercoolers, downpipes, injectors etc can be added later when the engine is back up and running. At least that is what I did. I even ran K04s on the OEM map for a good few months.

S4 - no longer missing 1 engine. Last seen leaving trailing black lines of gearbox oil.
extra bits
Thanks for that.
Already have bipipe, RS4 intercoolers and APR intercooler hoses that I'm going to put on the car at the same time.
I think that I need intercooler brackets. Does anyone have a part number for these?
I take your point about the clutch. I would probably go stock RS4. Again does anyone have the part numbers of all the bits that I will need?
Is there anything that I've missed from my big list above?
Do you have part numbers for the oil pipes?
Thanks for all the help.
