DVD TV & SAT NAV can you do this with it.......

Post by S7iFFLER » Sun Jun 08, 2008 8:47 pm

I will be picking up my S6 Avant soon, was just thinking or if anyone knows about the audi satnav/tv unit...2 things...

1- With the TV can you by a freeview type adapter, as they the old anologue signal is deemed to be switched off soon

&

2- I take it the DVD only plays Region2 (UK) dvd discs, or can this be changed to play any region?

Thanks
Rich

Think you can install a freeview unit from an Audi TT, but from what i've read, it's not an easy job.

I've only seen the TT freeview unit hooked up to the DVD RNS-E, not the older CD RNS-D (probably because they are not cheap).

If you've got the RNS-E then while it is DVD based for the Navigation it will not play DVDs. You will need to fit and use external audio/video connectors to the RNS-E and then use a separate player.

Have a look here http://www.tclsatnav.com/ for more info.
