Got the following fault code from VAG come a day or so ago. I assume the B2 S1 relates to a particular location and sensor?

Mine did this too.
I have also just had it done on an S4, part was £100 (genuine) and labour was £40 from a local mechanic who also owns a B5 RS4.
I think the reason for this is a duff MAF causing higher exhaust gas temps.

Yep get the Genuine Audi one, not too dear IMO, and also same as used on the Passat V6.
