S4 or S6?

Post by wadsy » Tue Jun 03, 2008 10:51 pm

Just wondered if people could give me pro's and cons of the above?

Both roughly 2000 cars, so 2.7turbo or V8.

My main priority is more refinement than our current Golf GTi pd150, sort of comfy 'drivers' car with excellent seats etc etc

Cheers

Hi Wadsy, if you're after a full blown family car - one that can seat people in the back comfortably - then I'd probably go for the S6.

As great as the S4's are they aren't as big in the back as you'd expect.

If however space in the back is not that important then it would have to be an S4.

Also, the S4 drinks A LOT of juice. The S6 drinks A HELLUVA LOT OF JUICE.
01 RS4, Milltek, Dahlback Racing rears, RS6 fronts and a few bits to be added.

Also, as I hate driving, my toy to play with - a Honda CBR F Sport

S4 can be tuned more but is smaller. S6 is bigger, harder to tune and drinks more fuel. If you're over 6ft then you will struggle to get a child behind you (one in a car seat) in an S4

My mate has an s4 and it lovely but hard to judge against my s6 as his has got 400bhp

My s6 feels a lot more modern though, i also love the trip box and yes the v8 sounds lovely

The s6's are coming down in price and alls i can say is its a lot of car for the money (see below);
