The facelifted S3 does have DSG as an option - first deliveries expected in October.

Thanks Guys!!!!

Privilege seems to be the winner for me.... got it down to 950 by upping my voluntary excess!! 100 quid in my pocket versus 150 extra in theirs if I have a prang..... I'll take that bet!

Could have got it down further by tinkering with the extras so thanks for the tip Tilly!

Anyone else getting the feeling that between the Government & Insurance Co's we'd all be better off in old bangers with no insurance or tax..... might actually be quite fun, UK roads would be like one enormous banger race!!!!!?

Sorry Dave, I meant the current shape. I'm trying to keep the budget down for the time being by looking at car options a year or two old and as soon as poss because the RS goes on Tuesday!

I am with elephant and their renewals are always a joke, mine went from 810 to 1200, with another claim-free year

go on the website and get a new quote, (mine was 750) and then they will honour they new quote for your existing account

I was with elephant for the 1st year - about £560 (nae points) and this year I switched to more than and am £330. (nae points). Maybe being a gurrll helps - they don't know about my heavy right foot. :bigblink:

I found the comparison websites good - think it was uswitch or something like that.

How young are you ?
What waist size are you ?
What colour eyes you got ?
What colour hair you got ?
How tall are you ?
Do you like drinking pink champagne ?
Do you like holidays on a Carribean beach ?
Do you like a man who pays off all your credit cards, including Harrods, every month ?

Just asking as I may be able to quote you a much better price, after a few more questions over dinner ..........................

07 B7 Daytona Grey RS4 Saloon (no mods - cheap as chips option)
Under 35 (just)
I am sometimes "wasted" - I am not a bloater nor am I a size 0
I have hair (dark blonde) and am tall enough to touch the pedals. So far I am able to pay off my credit card bills every month but that may change when I have to buy 4 new tyres for this beast and pay for its first service.

Harrods is way too far for me to get to and I have never been to the West Indies.

Haven't been to Knockhill but it looks like the only circuit with lots of sharp downhill bends that i've ever seen on a circuit before, and not a very very long straight as

far as i can tell.

Sorry to interupt the romance but did someone say (Adam) that if your insurance renewal goes up substancially, then you can go online and get a fresh new quote from the same insurance company for the same car etc that is much lower, and they will honour it and more interestingly not realise that they are being duped.

Is it me or is this too easy! Confused.com
