New car

Post by photo_mark » Mon May 26, 2008 11:49 am

Just bought an S4 Avant, 2000 facelift model, silver, black leather interior, other than that standard. Intend to keep it standard for 3 montsh and then see what I think.

First impressions are that it's pretty fast (understatement) but can be driven in a relaxed way. Just knowing that you can out floor it is a nice feeling :-)

Only issues are some dead lines on the DIS (but still readable) and the ave fuel consumption showing 17mpg. It'll need new tyres in a month or so as well.

A few more images here,

Looking forward to driving it.

How do Mark?

Dude, a kitkat says you won't last 3 months without carrying out any mods ;) Not with the persuasion skills of some of the nutter serial modders on here

And seeing as you may be needing some new tyres soon, have you thought about making a purchase of some nice RS4's or RS6 rims ;)
01 RS4, Milltek, Dahlback Racing rears, RS6 fronts and a few bits to be added.

Also, as I hate driving, my toy to play with - a Honda CBR F Sport

Yeah a nice set of RS4 reps with some Eagle F1s. That quality rubber deserves a 993tt brake upgrade. And of course having such good brakes will enable you to have a cheeky stage 1 remap. To get the best out of the remap make sure you sort the exhaust. That should do you for starters. :D

We're doing the lad a favour 'ere ;) Think about it, sooner or later he'll defo want some new wheels, right? So, seeing as he needs new tyres anyway he might as well splash the cash on the wheels now

And, once he gets the new wheels, the car will have to be dropped, right ;) So then a new set of coilovers will have to go on

And, once the coilovers are on........................

Did I hear someone mention a Custom Remap :)

Ha Ha, I could all too easily be led down the modification path...

As a start I was thinking of these, with Toyo tyres

then brakes etc...
