Hi and welcome,
It may be worth you checking this site out it generally list all rs4's for sale at Audi dealerships. I watched it like a hawk for several weeks before Buying one.
http://www.allapprovedcars.com/
As far as the colours go, they all look great, with one exception the yellow. I would avoid this colour if you stack up the resale possibilities. I chose an Avus Silver saloon looks great in the sun. Alex

R32 DPB 58 (bl**dy recession)
RS4 Avus Saloon (07) B7 (RIP)
M3 Conv (feel the rays)
M3 Saloon (back in the saddle- yes)
325i M sport (my wife's idea)
Impreza STi V5 (cheap Jap power-great)

That you will have to check with Audi. they have a list of phones that are compatable with the cradle and system. Id be suprised if their stock of cradles includes iphone but I may be wrong. I think the phone needs to be in the cradle to access the voice recognition.

I haven't got a cradle but the iPhone integrates perfectly in my Cab including the speech recognition, no problems at all. I either keep the phone in my pocket or in the central armrest.

don't let a high mileage worry you, mines done 82500 miles now, colour is a personal choice and i suppose it
depends on how discreet you want to be.Do drive a few though you'll be amazed how much difference a bit of mileage makes.
I've been told 20k to loosen the engine.

Hi i have Daytona Silver. Black is most popular. Red and blue are more specialist and less demand although look great - i opted for a less lary subtle colour as i was car jacked with a Nagaro blue S4 so don't want the attention!
The bucket seats are less popular than sports seats
I would say heated seats are important. I have lower suspension
Good luck

Yes. If you press the button on the cradle with your phone in it and say nothing it will come back with "possible commands are" then you know it just needs setting up then all you have to do is open the relevant page of the handbook and hey presto, everything you neeed to know about voice recognition.

Sprint blue looks good. A client of mine bought an RS4 yellow cab recently, not to my liking - to compliment is yellow GT3 though! Black is not my favoured colour but is especially awesome on an Audi RS4!

The type of cradle has no effect on voice recognition.
Voice recognition uses the hands-free microphone in the lamp assembly above the rear-view mirror and is activated by pressing the PTT button on the cradle.
Voice recognition works on saloons and Avants with a phone kit, but not on cabrios (but it can easily be enabled with VAG-COM on cabrios).

Cool, never used it/noticed it before due to not having an adapter in place (just the hideous cradle thing) so therefore no button... trip to Audi me thinks - cheers guys...

Would it be possible, then, to remove the horrible cradle and just rig up a button somewhere (I have a blank next to the parking sesonors switch for eg) for voice control? Or would if only work if the phone was directly conencted via the adaptor for some reason?

This is the button I bought for Craig to fit when I had the SDS retrofitted on my Cab - top right hand corner - it just replaced the blanking plug.
It's the 'Sport' button for when you have the multifunction steering wheel but as it had a big 'S' on it then I thought it would be good for the speech button.
