Possible RS6?

I`ve lost the posting, but another forum member kindly emailed my the picture he took of his S4 when he bought it off Cosworth Technology (UK). Ive posted the picture of this unknown S6/RS6 car... just wondering if anybody might know what it is? looks like a RS6 with different grill and bumper maybe?

Almost as though someone has redesigned the front end of an S4 to feed air to intercoolers.

Hmmmm. A biturboed 4.2 V8 in an S4. Sounds too ridiculous for words.I must be mistaken. Who could possibly need one of those [img]images/graemlins/boots.gif[/img]

I'd say the headlights are too big to be a B5 platform A4 or an A3, the wrong shape to be a B6 (obviously) and it just doesn't look like an A/S8, leaving the only remaining possibility being that it's a C5 platform S6. I'm sure the S6 had that style grille at some point (around 2000?) and the lower grilles are probably a bodykit.

Could it be a quattro Gmbh staffer's S6 with some design study for the RS 6 bodywork installed? After all, production RS 6s start off life on the S6 line.

I'm done guessing.

Yes it does look like the bumpers is a similar design to the RS6 bumper.

Look at the nose (especially the middle) It looks like it is longer than a S4 or S6
The new RS4 must have the S4-engine with a turbo and a turbo needs space. Should they placed the turbo in front???

To me, it looks very much like my RS6 - just with the bonnet grille from an S6, and the lower grilles and foglights removed.
