Seriously, though - I debated this topic for a while and decided that if I wanted to protect my car a Tracker alone would not be sufficient. There are plenty of devices out there now to help you stop getting hijacked, and like most other things in life - 2 methods of protection are better than one.
I do beleive though, that most of the insurance companies requesting you take Tracker are underwritten by RBS (who own Tracker), so begs the question about lining their own pockets.
Re the lead container post - most of the Trackers these days have GPS and radio transmitters, and cover Europe too.
(I know some serious guys in the car security industry).

Everyone is unique, just like you and me.
i just had one fitted - Quicktrack - yesterday my alarm went off 30 secs later they called me, was amazed at how quick the response time was. False alarm, lucky really cos im a UNIT and would have ground them into the dirt, im very very sick dont you know?

Where did you get your data from?victor2vt wrote:I've heard that the scum know you will very probably have a tracker fitted to your car so they take it somewhere not too far away and strip it of everything they can
then leave it for the old bill to find.
