Phone`s.
Phone`s.
I`ve had many nokia mobile phones of the years and always thought they had the best features and menu systems.
I had the nokia 7650 phone for nearly a year now and still think for the features its very good.... there are so many phones these days with camera`s, applications, games etc i personally got sick of the whole marketing process.... i used the nokia 7650 phone for sending sms and making calls... all the other features were used but eventually the novelty wore off.
So i went on a search..... for a good quality phone which will last me and do the basic job... a phone!
I didnt want to spend too much but was after something which wasnt plastic or flimsy and was nice.
I already had a contract so i had two options :-
Option 1 - buy off-contract phone and pay big bucks.
Option 2 - see if i can get the thru my service provider
After doing a search on the nokia site there wasnt much there......... all the phones were plastic etc and just didnt do it for me... then i saw this baby.... the nokia 8910i..... its not really the new wave of phones but its just quality.
But when i saw the price i fell off my chair, car phone warehouse £499.99, i know its made of titanium but surely this metal is not that expensive?
Anyway i did abit of deal hunting and got a price off my service provider.... lets just say i got it less than half the price from car phone warehouse.... Rizsult

I would highly recommend this phone to the user who are just fed up of all these new gadget type phones......
I feel this phone is like the S3 of nokia phones small but functional.

good choice, was put off by no car kit!
However i believe the new ones have bluetooth so you can get bluetooth car kit
Also thinking of changing
On the list are
Nokia 6600
Motoral or sharp flip fone - juust cos it fits in the pocket better
Let you know how i get on

Can't beat a bit of boost!
Re: Phone`s.
Yes my one has colour screen for easy viewing, bluetooth for headsets etc....good for bluetooth car kit
The battery life is amazing.... i think its around 300hrs standby and 4hrs use!
It definately feels solid and has quality feel.... they also have the previous version which is not colour but its still a quality unit.

I might be a bit biased having previously worked for Nokia , but I would give the Motorola a miss.
I brought a v60 a couple of years ago as I needed a triband job, and it's menu is sh!te. Not intuitive at all.
Fortunately it broke earlier this year when its screen cracked after I left it in the sun (ooops !)
The profiles of the Nokia are very handy which the motorola just doesn't have.
Only other phones I'd entertain are the Sony-Ericcson ones.
All just my opinion, but based on feed back from other users too.
Cheers,
John.

Too many toys, not enough time
Re: Phone`s.
Thanks John, I had thought similar things anyway and heard other people say the Nokia menus cannot be beaten
I want something quite small but must have GPRS, Bluetooth and could be handy taking pictures to save me taking a camera to site visits, just lets see what eh new 6600 is like when it arrives later this month
Cheers

I have via my work a 6310i and personally I think that is a near perfect Nokia OS phone. Looks good and does nearly everything.

M3 CSL - Silver Grey, a few options.
Re: Phone`s.
I am overmy plan too and am looking for something new. A personal organiser and a camera would be good as I would use both of the functions occasionally. Who makes bluetooth car kits? it wold be handy as I have nokia and my wife has ericson.
the new Motorola does have the PO and camera option and over here voice calls are capped for 99 dollars.
Any other phones with a camera and personal organiser?

Re: Phone`s.
Have you had a look at the Ericsson T610 ?
I think it's just about the perfect phone. Good call quality, excellent menu system, superb bluetooth support, triple band, nice carkit, good battery life, easy to read screen (colour), nice ring tones (poly), good integration with PCs and Apples, as well as email/organiser clients too (i.e. outlook)... and a camera.. all in a small sleek package.. and contract free - 299 GBP from most stores.

Just bought one of these a couple of weeks ago as I needed a tri band.
I agree, best phone I've ever had. Plain, not flashy and very funtional.
Re: Phone`s.
I like that 8910i alot. Not an orange optional phone unfortunately.
