Looks alright, although i'd ask exactly what the spec is. You can see it has RNS-D, heated leather and Bose speakers, but does it have a sunroof or TV tuner?

I'm never that comfortable reading on eBay "Listing this for a friend". I've had trouble in the past with that.

You'll also want to know when the cambelt has been done. It would have been due at 120k and is a very pricey job to get done.

Also I notice the DIS is off in the photos, so chances are it's buggered, although a very common fault. Or, he could be hiding a warning message. When I bought mine it had the low washer fluid symbol, never thought anything of it until I got home with the car, filled it with fluid and instantly had wet feet!

Looks like a trader hiding the fact he's trade to me.
The 'for a friend' bit is the clue, then it looks like he's spent so much on it before selling it which people generally don't do when they are about to sell a car unless they are trade - maybe spent so much he's trying to get it back by paying no tax/VAT?

MOT was passed 2 months ago but all this work, much of which would fail an MOT was done in the last 4 weeks? Sounds a bit fishy!

It's had a few owners too.

Spec looks good however.

At that mileage it could be a heap or if someone has really spent a lot and I don't mean on just wear and tear stuff it could be OK.

What is RNS-D?
I've spoken to him and it has got Sunroof,Tv Tuner and sat nav.Whats the tv tuner and sat nav like on them?
Will the sat nav be out of date? If so how do you update them?

Cambelt was done @ approx 80K.
He says the discs and pads were replaced because the rusted up while it's not been used...
He says it belongs to his friend who is now after a mitsubishi L200 instead so thats why its for sale.....
Possibly thinking about going to view it this weekend so would really appreciate your advice on it.
Thanks again Jason.

Cambelt interval is 40k miles, so it's due another one now. You won't see change from £500 for that.

Bought mine with 120k on it and full dealer history with 1 owner, now got 127k on it and not a prbolem, other than common EGT and lambda replacement after the remap, usual TBB split and front brakes, so all normal stuff. As long as it's well looked after I really don't see too much of a problem with a car like that, barely run in!

What? Since when was that the case?
Its in the service schedule as 80k in the manual (although IIRC that has been open to debate on here before - but at 60k not 40k)
. S4 Nogaro Blue Avant . ECS IV . RS4 handling bits . 18" Ultraleggera . AWE Boost Gauge . MRC Custom Map . 315 BHP . 482 Nm .

If it's 80k for the euro S4, why is it 105k for the usa S4??

Its now back up for sale starting at £5500.
I,ve been looking at another S4 which also turns out to have had 7 previous owners!! What is it about them?
Would this put you off having so many previous owners even if it has got lots of history?
Also what is Rns-d?

RNS-D is the sat-nav system as opposed to the symphony system which is just a radio/tape player.

I thought the UK cam belt cange for the S4 was 40K? At least that is what Cardiff Audi told me. Just before they lost my original service history...

Been done every 40K. Now on 160K. Never seen ANY change from 500 quid gettiing it done either, sometimes cost a bit more than that.
