B7 Avant Roof Box help required

I need to get a roof box for my 2006 A4 Avant (B7). The bars from companies like Thule and Mont Blanc seem to stick out from the side of the car quite a bit which looks really ugly.

Has anyone fitted a roof box to their A4 avant and used another company?

Admittedly the Thule bars are wider than the rails, but the quality and look (especially the Aero ones) are brilliant

Mate them to the ultra low-profile Spirit box and (IMHO) you've got something that actually enhances the car!

I only need it for 2 weeks mid July for a drive to France. The ones that don't look hideous are quite expensive which is a big outlay for something I'll use once. I've tried finding a 2nd hand one, with no joy. I wonder if anyone on the forum would rent me theirs for a couple of weeks this summer?! Anyone....?

I'd happily lend you mine (and I'm in London) but we have no garage space so it's with the in-laws 100 miles away. It's also the smaller of the two Spirit boxes, so might not be big enough for you.

Let me know in a month or so if you're still looking, and I'm sure I could find a reason (just!!) to pop and pick it up...
