Well I suppose it's all a matter of taste. I do not like the new A3 or new A4. The S4 looks a bit better, but the bodykit cannot hide that basic "bloated" look that the A4 has. For me it's the same with the new A3. Sure, the S3 will look a bit better, but IMO Audi have given the new A3 the same "bloated" look as the new A4, so the S3 will be no better than the S3 in the looks department.

I remember the same discussions on Scoobynet when the MY01 was released. "It's growing on me..." & "It looks better in the flesh...". All comments from people who really didn't like the styling but were going to buy one anyway.

I'm not an A3-sized car buyer anyway, and I haven't become an Audi buyer either. If Audi don't do something special with the RS4 (i.e. V8 biturbo), then my next car might not be an Audi...

Unless my wife decides to go for an Estate for her next car - and I might get an AmD-tuned V6 biturbo TT

Although I would still prefer an estate which is even faster

The new A3 has been out here in Germany for some time and - I accept I may be in the minority - I think it looks fantastic, especially in V6 trim. We have had two A3's (or rather my wife has ) - an 1.8T and a 1.9 Tdi and I would have no hesitation having another!

What's V6 trim? In the UK the 3.2 Sport looks like any other Sport model.
B8 A4 Avant quattro
Honda CBR1100XX Super Blackbird
Suzuki GSXR1000 (Track bike)
B6 S4 (AMD Stage 3) - GONE
8N TT (APR/AMD/MTM) - GONE

I am in the minority here but I like the new A3, I think it looks modern, neat and the interior is sublime.

I think it looks okay also.

A first drive type review in EVO magazine of the 3.2 and they basically say good car but lacks excitement

That silver one looks very nice with the bodykit on, but after seeing one in the flesh today I have to admit that I wasn't keen, not sure which version it was though. But still, there have been other cars that I didn't like to begin with that grew on me over time.
