Well, it either just falls out of it's own accord (due to length and weight) - or women are constantly trying to get it out!

Anyway - just taken a look at my R-1's - they're in perfect working order: nothing at all loose on them, holding vac nicely, no leaks, springs nice and strong and valve thingy is positioning itself correctly on open/close.

One thing I did notice is that the brass valve thingy on mine doesn't look the same as yours in the pic musty: mine is flat and doesn't have that 'nipple' thingy like yours does above. I got some of the first that came into the country so mine may be of an earlier version ... main thing is they're spot on. 8)

I'm married with 2 kids so my whipping it out days are gone.

But I'll get around to looking at the DVs one of these days.
I got no answer from APR to my e-mail. I'll try again at some point.

its funny e mail with the heading Large order, and say you want to purchase 100... see how fast they come back.

ECS with the brembos... H+R with the rear roll bar brackets...

Some feedback from APR UK.

They suggest they had a small number that were affected by a manufacturing defect.

These will be replaced FOC with the current modified DV`s.

Not ideal, however APR have put their hands up and acknowledged the fault. The modified R1`s are performing reliably.

If I supplied them and they are faulty give me a ring and I will arrange to replace them.
