1.9L TDI VNT Complete Boostvalve kit for (99.5-03) VW turbo diesels with the rotary pump VNT turbocharger. This custom kit includes proper boost range high pressure spring. No vent hole drilled in valve body (other kits, including universal will have a vent that must be blocked). Eliminates low RPM over boost problems and surge. Also fits (04-06) 1.9L PD's.


Also do I need something to stop the ecu tripping, as the car is not chipped and i want to run bigger boost?

Whats the baest boost to run?

G, I think you need to learn a bit about diesels and figure no diesel will ever gain any power from a boost increase alone.

FG .... Funny I just been asked about spicing up my friends passat diesel........ only thing that gives a improved increase is a tuning chip, it will play around with air/fuel/timing/boost ....
but not much can be gained ... about 20hp ... torque up by aprox 40nm .... plug an play items .... scan the web and ye shall find ... didnt get a price or name ... maybe revotech ...

Just thought! the last words of an idiot.
Its a mates car and he want a bit more power.
Car cost £700 he then had to fix everything, probably £1000 later.
So just thought!! a bit of extra boost and a map sensor heap thrill for him.
Would take it to you Mihnea any time. Better than me break it.

these cars are expensive to fix - 1500 - for a new pump if that goes!

i have had a few diseasals 80s and a4s - great cars for miles/£ - 130mph(down hill) out of 90bhp 80 tdi mapped on tescos cheapest veggie oil?

Gordon, ANY TDI will NOT make any more power than standard if you just increase the boost!!! boost makes no power in diesels...

Thought it would fuel up for more air flow off the maf?
Then it might throw a code for over boost.
Shows what I know. but only asking for a mate. Never to proud to ask.
Seriously I was just interested in gaining some knowledge on a bit of butchery.
Not wanting to annoy, Its pissed me off a bit not being able to solve his boost quest.
Any way. Life is a big lesson.
I'm doubt full I can help him and it does need a tuner, Your right. Really this is a post trying to see if there is a public knowledge of easy tweaks to the mentioned car.
BTW thanks for the offer of a tune, He would love it.

I plugged a £30 box from ebay.de into my 90hp skoda tdi and it ran perfectly for 30k+ miles. Performance increase was very noticeable and MPG improved too (the thing averaged 52mpg according to the computer!) These boxes are not recommended for pd engines though. Sounds like that's what he needs - there's no way he would want to spend £400 notes on a remap for a car worth £600!
