VW & Audi Track day at Malory Park on May 17

Post by NBirkitt » Fri Apr 18, 2008 1:55 pm

Sorry to hear of the demise of RS246Live!

If you guys want to organise some sort of 'meet' or line-up at the VW & Audi day at Mallory Park (not far from Bruntingthorpe) on Saturday May 17 then just let is know and we'll put aside a space for you, even for cars which aren't planning to do the track day. But we'll need to have a good idea of numbers, during the week beforehand

We also run a lunchtime parade lap session, so that kids can be taken around the track at a safe speed, so it could be a good day out anyway :)

Please contact us at mail@autometrix.co.uk or log on at wwww.autometrix.co.uk for details of the track day

As a lot of people have the date set aside, that could make for one hell of a GTG. Track fun for those that want it, spectating and talking crap for everyone else.

Guys, I'm very sorry that this event will not go ahead.

I resigned from the Crew yesterday because I felt I could no longer associate myself with the site because of the way things were being done. I have no issues with John, Simon or Mark but I have with Phil.

The RS246 Crew has now been disbanded, as you will see posted elsewhere. It was Phil's intention to do this after RS246 Live anyway, but my leaving has made it happen now.

I made an offer to John & Mark to continue organising the RS246 Live!! event as I wanted it to happen, I believe in it passionately, as those of you who have spoken to me will know. I did not however make this offer to Phil.

I have spoken to Neil at Autometrix & he has posted above. I'm going to Mallory to do the trackday & they will set an area aside for us. I'm also going to the hotel in the evening for dinner & I hope to see as many of you as possible.

Please accept my sincere thanks for your support during my time on this site, especially your support for RS246 Live!.

Thanks kids :)

I don't want to say any more on here really but I'm happy with the decision I made & I was happy to make the Live event happen with Mark.

Address the rest of the questions to PhilT ;)

Hmmm I'm tempted to meander on up to meet up with you guys. What's the score with the track day at Mallory? Would it be a good idea to set up a new thread and let peeps know the details (times/cost etc)?

Do you have to be staying at the Hilton to have dinner there?
