Have you read the God Delusion by Richard Harris? He puts forward many many good arguments to disprove the existence of a 'higher being'?

Andy - unless there's another book by the same title that I don't know about, "The God Delusion" was actually written by Richard Dawkins, an excellent writer who has also contributed works of science and evolution.

Look, this is the bottom line. Nobody and no book has ever presented any reasonable points to doubt the bible and the account of history there in. The evidence in support of the biblical account is overwhelming but none of you want to see it because of your own lifestyles which in the light of the evidence you would have to rethink and seriously reconsider. As Peter stated, the only reason people reject God and the bible is because of their OWN LUSTS, never because of any scientific data or so called "reasonable arguments". There isn't any evidence for evolution that has stood the test of time, all evidences have been proven to be lies and fraudulant down the line. There are no reasonable arguments that anybody has put forward ever. They may have thought they were reasonable to themselves and the deluded folks that followed them but the arguments every single time have been flawed, illogical and in many cases dumb and stupid. Know this, all of you have rejected the gospel because of your lifestyles, the fact that the bible chaps your hide.

Stop hiding behind stupidity and foolishness, just be honest to God and stick 2 fingers up at him whether you believe in him or not and just admit that you don't want him telling you what to do, you just want to live out your own life, make your own decisions and endulge in your own passions. By the way, I have a dvd where your Dawkins boy is asked for an example of an intermidiate fossil. He is silent for 19 secs and then he says "can you shut the camera off please". Dawkins has far from contributed any substance to the evolution theory. If you are going to hang on to this then good luck to you.

Well that just about says it all. You have now shown that you cannot answer the points raised. Logic is not a "subtle technique" - you yourself purport to use logic, and quote the word often in association with your posts, but in the face of true logic your arguments fail, dismally.

Don't get me wrong Blower; I respect your right to believe whatever you want, makes no odds to me, but if you're going to make statements along the lines of "all of science is false and lies - the Bible is the truth" then you have to be able to back it up with evidence and proof, because that's what science does; it does "what it says on the tin", and science works - whereas the Bible does exactly nothing, zilch, nada, zero. And from the picture you paint of your God I really don't like the look of It at all.

Why would I need to justify myself? Am I that Evil that taking care of my friends and family is a sin and lustful? If God truly knows all then I won't have to justify anything anyway.

nor is there any evidence that God exists, less the bible, which by all accounts is a book written by a man who by definition lies and deceives. The mere fact that the bible IS a book means it could be a work of fiction. How many people have died because of the contents of said book? Were their deaths really worth it? Do you even care that they died for your "religion" and the "greed" that is part of it? Does God?

Others have pretty much dealt with your latest claims, but lets get one thing straight - I'm not hiding behind stupidity and foolishness, nor trying to use subtle and cunning techniques.

I have tried to engage you in an exchange of reason and logic. But you seem unable to grasp some of the basics of logical argument and you are clearly in the camp of "I'm right and you're wrong because I (or your god) say so".
