over what distance is this? or is it 0-60, 0-100-0 or what??

I don't reckon you'll get good odds on an M5 vs a k04 s4. :s4addict:

i did say i'd race leon at the pod..and im happy to do so...
im still happy to race blower in his car at its current state of tune..SKN map k03's etc etc..
he must have around 320-340bhp at the engine..to my 399bhp..im putting out 319.6 at the wheels which is almost his total engine output..weight wont play that bad a part on my side..i can get this beast up and gone without any problems..
jarv in his RS4 has seen that 1st hand..its no slouch and dont bog down...

It was close, but I won. It was over 3/4 of a mile so traction off the lne wasn't as crucial as running a 1/4. My car was running completely standard 380 brake at the time.

I would imagine that Si would beat Blower, but IMHO wouldn't stand much of a chance against Leon.

If you can get the M5 off the line the it should be a good race.

S4woody How would your M5 do next to M3 CSL say 0 - 100.

I raced a guy in a stock M5. A friend of mine, Its completely standard. Was on a long stretch of a private industrial estate. I had 340 brake, no pre cats, had cats taken out at the time too. Pushing STANDARD K03's, standard intercoolers, and a custom map.

I was way quicker off the line, he started catching up at about 70 then we were neck and neck to about 100, then we ran out of road.

This guy normally races E46 M3's and he says theyre pretty much neck and neck up to 100 or so then he starts leaving them behind.

In my experience ive always been quicker 10/10 times pulling away from an E46 M3. Its no slouch but Ive always had the edge..

I would like ot know what a K04 car is like against an E46 M3.

Cant wait too se blower and woody race. Ill be there for sure.

I've never had any problems dispatching CSL's or the new M3 at VMax. Couldn't understand how the CSL could keep up with the other company in this clip though, maybe it's down to the drivers:

Telling you, A CSL M3 handles like it is on rails.. mate has one with full S/S exhaust Remap and the biggest AP Racing brakes I have ever seen.

don't knock csls or m3s. ok they're easy to take out off the line, or even in a straight line for some, but anywhere where finese and precision are required they'll really bite any S4.

Not knocking them at all - just know that the ones I've come across I've outpaced and left behind since being K04'd.

Agree on the handling of BMW's; I didn't have an M3 but my 330iSE handled beautifully - best steering on any car I've ever owned by a long way.

There were two CSLs going round the Grand Prix track with me at Nurburg when I was last there. Cold and wet so everyone was quite slow around the corners but on the straights I was much faster. By the end of the start/finish straight I was a good 8 car lengths clear over the 200 meter run.
