Sports button and women

Post by al'srs4 » Tue Apr 15, 2008 9:22 pm

I am convinced their is a genetic relationship between the two. When you press that button they both reacts with instant venom.

Is it me or do all women whinge like mad every time you go for the sport button or do some bristtle with anticipatation at the treat that is about to unfold. Hummm, there's athought.

Just today I let rip, big style down a slip road only to unleash the wrath of god inside the car. Never has any man endured sure a verbal assault, for a minute I wondered what on earth had happened, had I squashed a cat or something, no merely selected sports mode and moved from 3rd to 5th too quicky. Perhaps I should let the revs build steadly and enjoy the view, yeah right!

Took the edge of the whole experience, I can tell you!

Am I in the minority here or is this a female trait that should have been rectified long before any vowes were taken. Am I the only one who suffers in silence or are there more of you! :?

The sport button was one of three reasons I was allowed to buy my RS. The others being the colour and that it would accomodate the family better.

No sport button allowed when the other half is in the car or when I have our daughter in, however that said the latter loves hard acceleration with sport mode engaged and windows down! Ssshhhhh!

What seems very obvious guys is that we we all share 2 things in common - Our RS4's and our wives!!! There all the same!!!

Its just something we all need to come to terms with - We will never understand women!! (thank god!)

I guess I'm the lucky one that doesn't get this.

When I first went to Audi I had in my mind I was going to get an S4 as I didn't think I could justify the RS to my wife. We turned up looked through the brochure etc... Then leaving my wife spots an RS4 sitting on the forecourt and says "Oh, that one looks nice, can't we get one of those?"

Enough said! ;)

I am always encouraged to drive with the sports button pressed. In fact it has not got to the point that if we get in and I start the car without pressing the sports button I get asked why. :D

This is why I'm now looking into Millteks. Driving every day with the sports button pressed has got me far too used to the sound. It's too quiet now.

my wife always complained about me driving too enthusiastically on public roads and said that she'd be fine if we were on a track (long run-offs, same direction traffic, etc). i decided to test this theory and took her around donnington in my old b5 rs4 some months ago - she almost soiled herself and i'm now resigned to the fact that she's just a wimp.

LOL! I think the clue is in the post.... "Oh, that one looks nice, can't we get one of those?"

Only a woman would pic an RS4 because it "looks nice". ;)
