are there ever any meets in South Wales ?

RE: South Wales
Seems a shame if not, some lovely roads round Monmouth and Chepstow.

Brecon Beacons an absolute pleasure to drive with its twists and turns, and also used by top gear and fifth gear to road test many cars,

If there are any i'll join up with you. I'm moving down to the Vale of Glam within the next 3-4 weeks depending on how long it takes to finish refurbing the house. Currently in West Wales at the moment. I can't understand why there aren't any meets in Wales (unless i've missed them
) especially considering some of the lovely roads round the country.

RE: South Wales
looks like just me and you (mazsherwood)would be there, are there not any RS4 owners in south wales then again the rarer the better

Well its a good start (2), I wonder if bobbler would join in?
. I know of a couple of B7 Rs4's near me (though i've not had a chance to speak to them yet) and there's an S5 too. Where i'm moving to i've seen a RS6, so if i get a chance i'll ask him. Aren't there any others? We are a rare breed!!

RE: South Wales
South Wales, yup would be there (depends on days it takes place really), I have yet to put the S4 round those roads. I don't think it will hold a candle to the fun I used to have in my Integra, but it will be nice to find out.

Count me in. I'd be happy to see something organised - even just a blast through Brecon. I just got my B5 S4 a few weeks ago. This is my first post, so I hope it works.

Welcome to the forum Mark-S4. I hope you are enjoying your new purchase. Now there's a possible four!
We'll have to start sorting out a date for our meet. I can't make the next 3-4 weeks due to me moving, though after that (end of March), i'll know better. Anyone else have any ideas on dates, places etc?

RE: South Wales
I am ok at the drop of a hat most weekends (though Sunday is usually the best bet as the missus sometimes works on Sat)

RE: South Wales
I've finally moved.... What a headache (though saying that i'm currently back in West Wales using someone elses computer (and seeing family) as my broadband has not been set up yet - should be done by end of week). Right then.... when and where to start this South Wales Meet going? I'll say i'm free this weekend but that depends on whether the better half has to go into hospital on Thursday or not (so can't gaurantee it). Still getting to know the area so not sure of any places other than the Brecon Beacons. Any ideas/suggestions? Marks4 do you own a Silver S4 'V' (i think) reg as i saw one by Crosshands on Saturday late afternoon, just wondered if it was you or not as this is the first b5 s4 i've seen in the area for a long time?
RE: South Wales
Hi Maz, congrats on your move hope you settle in well, dont know if you know but there is a south wales piston heads run on Sunday the 20th April they are meeting on the M4 and making their way over the Brecon Beacons and up around mid wales, details are on piston heads south wales forum, think at present there are bout 36 names down, i havn been before but may catch up with them on the Beacons by the Burger van, not sure what its all about but if the weather is half tidy and i got nothing else to do, well why not, so praps you might be up for that, other wise we will have to meet up sometime, are you going to the RS246Live Event ?

Maz,
Mine's as S reg (silver), and it defenitely could have been me on Sat, I was on my way through Crosshands at about 5.30 - 6.00pm. I can't do Sunday this week, but could absolutely do something on Saturday.

RE: South Wales
Finally back home and have got the internet up and running... Still waiting to hear with regards to the better half going into hospital or not, will update later. G8ANT, have checked piston heads' web site and it sounds like a good event. Dependant on a couple of things i wouldn't mind joining up with them. RS246 live i am hoping to go, just need a few more days to sort out work etc. Mark-S4, if i was in my toy then i would have flashed as it is quite rare round Carmarthenshire to see another b5 S4 or RS4. As i have said earlier this weekend depends on my Missus. Could do with taking the toy out as its been over a month since i've last driven her; i'm a bit sad when it comes to driving her as i don't like taking her out in the wet and its more often or not a weekend car. We'll all have to try and get the South Wales Meet up and running properly, where we can all get together, hopefully very soon. I'll try and update later on tonight.
