ARSEY4 wrote:Good morning all. I posted a similar survey over on rs4. I didnt think to look here but wow that is a lot of problems. If you have a look I have posted a draft letter to Audi. Im sure someones already done the same but I was thinking of including a copy of the RS6 survey as well and including a further paragraph in the letter. Would anyone have a problem with this, also any constructive comments would be appreciated. Thanks.

Of course you get my support, as the damn DRC has been problematic. I pay to fix it, then battle it out with Audi as it slowly fails, then we fix it, then it fails, etc...

PhilT pulled a summary together to represent the RS6 owners, not sure where it got to, but there was a summary.

As far as I am concerned this issue should be publicised, as Audi are severly lacking in dealing with the problem properly, they should have effected a fix and recalled and fixed all vehicles, even if that meant ripping the frustrating and frail system off and replacing with simple dampers.

Thanks.
Once the RS4 survey and responses have run their course I plan to send a letter enclosing both polls. you can see a draft letter on the survey post regarding replacement shocks.
I intend to keep the letter non agressive, informative and asking for nothing more than extended warranty coverage on the system from the date replacement parts are fitted eg an additional 3 yrs 60k miles from fitting.

ARSEY4, I guess most of us didn't reply simple because we have said it so many times before, 18 pages on this thread alone. Doh!

Just a thought buy my (current) DRC failed at 38,000 miles roughly and the car didn't have an extended Audi warranty so your proposal wouldn't have been of any help to me. Not that it matters anymore.

No but the paragraph asking for any update being fitted free of charge should.
With regard to replies, im not after comment just confirmation that it would be okay to print off and enclose.

If the parts replaced are paid for by yourself or any form on contirbution made you get 2 years warranty on parts replaced.
If the part is bought over the counter and fitted else where then it has a 2 year warranty on it too, plus Audi will fit the failed item with in the parts warranty

Still on DRC and still loving it. About 80,000 miles since it last needed any attention, and that was just a pressure check with no other work required.
