B5 RS4 owners, please post your current FATS here

Post by Nige_RS4 » Thu Apr 10, 2008 9:11 pm

It's been a while since I did a FATS test on my car, so I did one on the way home tonight - pretty happy with the results, but I know there's a bit more to come from the old girl.

Car is running MRC remap with std catback, gutted pre-cats and custom SMIC's. Peak boost is 22psi tailing off to the redline.

what does you boost tail off to nige? that looks too good for a standard catback!

But we don't know what it did going back up the hill Doug!

Only joking Nige, 3.12 is excellent, best I've got out of mine is low 3.2's. Only difference is I have Milltek non-cat DP's, but I don't have your fancy RS4 Intercoolers.

Looking very good Nige, as always. Your car is running well.
Best I did on mtm stage 3 without the coolers you are running was 3.56 I think.
Boost was 1.5 back to 1.2 / 1.1from memory similar boost 22peak-18 near top.
I also had full miltec with race cats, so your car is quite special. DaveP would be happy.

It's the map we re-did last March(?) Doug, boost tails off to 19psi @ 7100rpm. I'm also running increased timing +4 degrees, maybe this is the key?

I'm not all that bothered about my exact FATS time, I'm pretty sure I can get it below 3 secs if I use 2nd gear to get the car moving, then short-shift into 3rd. What it does tell me is that the car is running right, just had a boost leak check, new DV's and some fresh oil. I can honestly say it's never felt this quick before - it seems to want to pull from no revs.

ok - but that was on the miltek catback wasnt it ? The stock exhasut is really restrictive - same middle box as s4 and reduces down to that size
