Gran Turismo 5 on PS3

i bought myself a PS3 last weekend and after finishing call of duty 4 i bought GT5 proloq..
what a game..the graphis are awesome..
the Audi R8 is a wicked car..just gotta earn enough credits to purchase 1 and i'll be away...

ha ha, Completed it about 2 months ago, best car is the new skyline. Get nothing for completing everything. Oh by the way - the hardest challenge is the Eiger Mountain track in the dodge viper under a silly time, took about 2 days to do it - Let me know how that goes if you get that far.

Top game - can't wait for the full game.

Can anyone give a comparison against Forza 2. I know Forza 2's graphics are nothing, but having played a million different "sim" racers nothing has ever been as involving and honestly realistic as Forza 2. Hate to go out and buy a PS3 and GT5 only to find Forza is the more realistic game...

Early days yet, but i'd say that GT5 will have the edge. Graphiclly it's better than Forza... But you don't get a Corrado in it. Boo!

Saw the advert, looks superb... nearly purchased PS3 yesterday, Game are doing console with a a couple of games that includes GT5 for £299. Although I hear that the current PS3's arent compatible with PS2 games!? I assume they've scrapped it because of value-engineering the manufacturing.

You need the 60GB version to get backward compatibility - and a card reader & 4 USB ports instead of 2. It looks nicer too, but costs like 100-150 more!

I have been debating. I honestly dont think GT5 will improve on the amazing Forza 2... that said never played that with a wheel.

Played GT5 a bit more last night, the tyre noise is really annoying. And the lack of damage.

Just been playing Gran turismo 4 and on the Nurburg track there was a yellow s4 b5 saloon.

You can buy the RS4 b5 but NOT the s4 in the game. I think I need to buy it secondhand from the late 90's section in the main menu.

I was racing in the escort cosworth with quick tune up to max and weight reduction to max. You will see the s4 in yellow.

Yep. you can buy the S4 B5 from the late 90s second hand section....I've got one! The list of cars changes so keep an eye out.

I got my PS3 yesterday, I also have the 360 with wheel etc.

I love Forza 2 and PGR 4, I must say that GT4 on the PS3 looks amazing. ALTHOUGH massively disapointed with the game play and so annoyed with the lack of rumble from the controller.

Still wated a couple of hours though

What a shame... that is the single reason I would buy a PS3... if it does not match up to Forza in realism I wont bother

well ive just upgraded from my 32inch sony LCD to a 40inch sony LCD with HDMI connections which my PS3 is now connected too..WOW its even better than i thought..
the graphics are 100 times better than normal lead connections..HDMI all the way..
GT5 is even more awesome and COD4 online is mind blowing..

Just purchased the M3 Coupe, as was needed in Class A - what a let down that motor is...!? (No surprise really!)
