Is it a possibility that the S5 is being bought by non-enthusiasts in general, who really wouldn't be into forum hopping?

I am half thinking of one as an alternative to an RS4, but the scarcity would worry me?
I guess unpopularity isn't a good thing though? If it doesn't cause a small degree of enthusiasm, I guess it could be percieved as being dull?Nipper wrote:Can't understand why scarcity would worry you. Surely that's a good thing. Anyway, you're right that there isn't much S5 activity on here but you should try the A5 owners club (A5OC.com) where there's plenty of activity.
I test drove one the day it launched....quattrokid1 wrote:40k a go give or take a bit... its an expensive car to buy!!
Possibly if ordering from scratch, but i have a freind who has been offered 2 that are dealer specced cars unregistered and can have them at the end of March. I also agree with the above that its not that special a car vs RS4. I have had an A5 3.0 tdi and an s5 for a day which did everything just great but just bored the pants off me. They are more really comfortable cruisers imho. I got back in my rs4 and instantly had a smile on my face.Gareth wrote:There is also a worldwide shortage with the S5 engines, hence why the long lead times everywhere.
