Post by jay1974 » Thu Mar 27, 2008 7:45 pm

intrested in getting a remap done on my rs,now my problem is i live in belfast so its too costly to take car over to the mainland and get it done so ive been doing a bit of detective work and have come up with 2 respected specialists over here, now 1 is revo remap, and the other one is claiming to put the output upto 439bhp,can this be correct i was led to believe by going through this site that 420bhp was stage 1.can anybody give me any advice here please.cant do a link but the specialists www.obd-auto-tune.co.uk thanks

Hello,

If i was you i would take more time to search for a good tuning company and would consider to do the trip across the sea if necessary.

The last thing you want is a blow-up engine due to a bad remap.....

A decent good remap will increase the power around 420 bhp, with no-precats+milltek around 430/435 bhp wish is plenty enough

You have to be careful ,RS4 engines are very expansive to repair and not many people are able to fix them...... :?

I would go for an MRC remap if i was you, your drive back home would be great !!!! :nodder:

Maybe add your location to the title of a thread - I am sure we have some other owners in Ireland.

Mattsimis sent his ECU over from Ireland to MRC for a K04 map on his S4.

Auto tune sounds good. 439 bhp from a remap is about right for an RS4.

We can sort something out but it would be better if you had vagcom just to check the car is ok before and after. You will not get 439bhp on a standard rs4.

Send your ECU's to John at DnA tuning. see www.dnatuning.com
He can do a BDM remap and send the ecu's back to you. Very respectable tuner.
Cheers
