Going well,i've only done about 450 miles, she's been checked over and accepted for a warranty extension with audi, i have
a month to decide wether to take it up. Others that have driven this RS can't believe how quick and how well it drives and that it can have
covered so many miles.
Next week she's in to have the front wings, bonnet, bumper etc, prepared and sprayed(to lose 81000 miles of stone chips)and a new set of front
pads.she'll look every bit as good
as she goes then.

You are right about how well she drives, now that the engine has really loosened up. The R8 is nowhere near as free, it will be interesting to see how it compares - it takes about 20,000 miles.

What sort of price do you have to pay for the warranty? It is probably worth taking up - parts on Audis are not cheap!

 audi want £1350.p.a.

 Warranty direct £750.p.a

A lot of money,i must check the small print, :o strangely the warranty direct says it covers wear and tear.
as the cars in good order i may well just take my chances.

At that price, I think I agree - a bit heavy in my view

There is a reason its more expensive, trust me ! after 2 x failed turbos full zorst system and 2 x failed cats. Ive had both warrantys, the Audi one when all the above happened and the 3rd parrty one when my gearbox went.

I would never ever by a 3rd party warranty again. Waste of money.

All of this happened on my B5 RS4

is the Audi just a warranty, ie not including maintenance? I was wondering whether I could extend my FCM plan over the 3 year period
