Just beware... I was looking out for one a while ago and there are some scammers out there. Had some fun with one for a while - http://www.rs246.com/index.php?name=PNp ... gine+diane

haha, nice! Yeah tell me about it... Anyone see that 2004 S4 cabriolet on autotrader last week for £11k? :

Hi,

Can you tell me your reason for sale?

Is there any damage or history of damage?

Are you in Liverpool? This is showing as 22 miles from my address, but Liverpool is a lot more than that!

Thanks, George.

Hi George, the 2006 Audi S4 is still available for the price of £11,530 GBP. The car is in excellent overall condition. I have just moved back to my home country Slovakia because I got a very good job offer here. The S4 is here with me as well, but I can arrange shipping. It is still UK registered.
Please email me back soon and let me know if you are interested.
All the best
Robert

FYI these people were RUBBISH. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone and it's cost me SIX more days to be right back where I started, well almost six as I actually gave up on them after four.

What were you asking of them?

They normally seem to get pretty good feedback from what i've seen on here.

They listed a B5 and a B6 on their website last Thursday, but no pics, so I phoned and ask for a look. I was told they were off for cleaning and would be available in a few days, and as it was the Easter weekend this seemed acceptable.

Midday Tuesday (yesterday) the pics went up and I phoned again as I already expected they would have phoned me already, and they must be ready for viewing by now. I was told someone would phone me back.

At 5pm Tuesday the B6 went to sold on their website!

Wednesday midday (today) they phoned me, six days after my original call and one S4 B6 too late :x I was told someone wandered in off the street and bought it!

You can still see them on the website, the B6 was just under 17k. Anyway I decided they didn't deserve my trade for the B5 now either.

Hi All,

First I would like to thank everyone who took an interest in taking this project on be it for repair or parts, I wont mention any names for their own privacy, but at this time sale is on hold...

I've checked out a few B6's over the last 18 days, but so far haven't tried one that's inspired me to part with the extra cash needed. Having driven a B5 for 3.5 years it's not like I got into one and thought "wow this is so fast!" as I guess I was already conditioned

Of course it is also a choice between the roar of the V8 or the whistle of the turbos, and at the moment I think I like the whistle while I think about it some more.

Things have a strange way of working out and the thing that tipped the balance was that yesterday the office decided that on Sunday I go to Amsterdam for 2 weeks, and so I thought "WTF, lets get it into MRCtuning sharpish" as I had already been talking to them informally last week.

So another thanks to those who pointed me towards them, especially since they are just a few junctions up the M40 from me (the sat nav says 48 mins but I think with some 'upgrades' that could be halved...).

I guess the next thing for me to think about is what my budget is, and what I can get done for it once a quote is in for the repair work, so I'll be posting a bit more over the next week or so. Also being away from the wife will allow me to read through some of the existing stuff here, if I stay in my hotel room............................

It's still not settled for sure, I do have one more B6 to see and I have a number of standard searches set up now, so something might turn up.

Cheers, George.
