Flashing MIL & 16684/16689/16692 errors

Hi guys, I hadn't used the '6 for a week (feeling poorly) so she got a little cold. This morning on going in to work the MIL flashed briefly a couple of times. Didn't come on on the way home tonight but I pulled the following codes. The question I have is where do I start to diagnose this?

Once I've had a cuppa I'll start up the other PC with the service manuals on them and trawl the interweb, but I wondered if anyone had a good idea what causes these?

If you clear them and run the car with some fresh fuel etc, what happens. If the car has been sitting.....I am thinking condensation int he fuel or dirty in the injectors etc

She's been fine today, so probably just clearing her throat so to speak. Will keep an eye or two on her. Quick question - do I need to clear these codes, or will they disappear after a certain time/miles? Can't really be ar5ed to redo the readiness code.

I've had the Random Multiple Misfire faults on my RS4 B5. This "fault" has been covered in the RS4 forum before. The cure for my car and many others was to check and tighten the spark plugs! Hope you can cure your's as easily as that!

have you done a log to check your MAF?? a failing one can bring up random mutiple misfire

Just go to the engine section in vagcom. Check for codes and clear them. Then check in a week or so to see if the codes are back.

I cleared then a while ago Dave (2 weeks+) and did a fault scan tonight. Clean bill of health...

Intermitent generallymeans youve had a fault but it has been fixed.For example, if you have a knackered n75, and you have a code saying short to ground, and then you replace n75 without clearing code it will now say intermitent. GENERALLY that is. Just do a regular check (once a fortnight) weather you feel a problem or not and you or bound to catch a fault in the bud!
