he got 191 on the last one but with a 6th gear for 215mph+! - he didn't make this one.

Excellent result Doug, a great advertisement for your company and tuning efforts.....I am genuinely suprised at the speed as I never knew the B5's aerodynamcs were so good......that is quicker than a 997TT, but the specialist Ruf and looney 9FF we had at the last one are obvioulsy a league above, still with an RT12 costing £220k imagine what you do to an S4 with that kind of budget? :)
2000 B5 S4 facelift, sadly missed...enjoying the 2005 A2 TDi Special Edition though!

Then we did a low 180s run - then i handed the car to Simon_golf_tt and he instantly started doing 190+ One of his early runs he did 193mph - then it was my last couple of runs i matched that. most runs were 191-193.
Were you able to make the bend (or could you have made the bend) on the 190+ runs?

I found at 160ish I was pretty much using all my braking power to make the bend with my brake setup, so was using the run off. Having said that when using the run off the extra distance meant I didn't have to brake too drastically at all.

It is my mini wing mirrrors that make it fast!

my car feels slow compared to a few customers cars - i would really like to see a few of them at vmax - i think it would really shock a lot of people.

I also wonder if the s4 is better aerodynamically than an RS4 (and the narrower tyres help?)

i had to use the extra strip for braking(no way i would have made the first bends - stamping on the brakes at 193 mph, is awesome! no fade and abs can kick in straight away!

I only braked after i saw my speed flash up - maybe a bit later than i could brake.

164 :biggrin3: - nothing to do with the following breeze, I'm sure!
Silver S4 Avant July 99 "semi" facelift, stock except for MRC custom remap, 710Ns, diy short shift, after run mod, retro fit cruise control, DTS, H+R arbs, n249 delete and F hose delete. Oh dear, this is getting addictive!
