Whenever suits - I'll come along to spectate and support the event. Bring my helmet though for a couple of hairy laps with the likes of JR and Andy if that's OK [img]images/graemlins/nodder.gif[/img]

I for one would enjoy having a squirt alongside a new M3 without the fear of wondering if that dark coloured Volvo at the last junction was the law. I thought this was a track day for the regular members of rs246? Agreed, if you have a 'sporting' Audi sitting in the garage then you should bring that regardless.

A club is nothing without it's members! Seems to me as though you are still an avid member of this club and as such should be welcomed to participate at such events. This is not an organised day by Audi for publicity, it is a gift given to rs246 to be organsied by it's members for it's members, they must accept the fact that a small minority of our group will not own an Audi. Lets face it, not all posts on this forum will be blowing Audis trumpet in the right direction but they have still given us the day.

When we had the TT track day, I checked with Audi about two things that concerned me : making money out of the day and what cars should attend.

Audi said that the day was ours and we could do entirely what we wanted with it.

We decided that any surplus income would go to the NSPCC.

With regards the cars, I even suggested we'd keep it to Audi's and the response was that the really weren't worried at all what cars attended.

In the end we had TTs, RS4s, a Scooby and a VX220.

My Audi UK contact even came down for the day and joined in with a 3.2TT and he had no concerns about the non-Audi cars.

If the moderators say Audi only then that is clearly their decision but I don't think Audi will be bothered either way.
