love the way some of you guy's talk about fuel costs on an rs4
If you can come by 50k for a motor, fuel costs aint worth talking about.
Even my 14 month old little girl knows V8= thirsty

It is a bit of a daft complaint when you are talking about a 414bhp saloon. Go buy a tdi.

I do not use it enough, when I do it is on a motorway and moreover reading some of your commentary around using the performance - I can safely say this never happens- it seems a waste
My question is How Much?
56 RS4 Avant- Black
Tech Pack
Recaros not buckets
Daytime and coming home lights, boot mat,
2 owners (incl me) serviced in Sept with new tyres. Peterborough Audi
Basically an excellent standard car.
Your views appreciated
Trade will be somewhere between 42 and 43k
You are joking of course, nothing like. More like 38K.
No, he's right, you are incorrect I'm afraid.

I saved 13K when I bought it, so I can't complain.................... BUT with fuel prices on the rise I know what cars will be the loosers when it's £6.50 per gallon

I traded mine in today for a Jan08 (57)plate 330iTouring auto petrol 1500 miles, pretty well specc'ed (SatNav,Bluetooth, PDC, upgraded wheels, privacy glass etc) list £38k.
Car plus £13k back (after much toing and froing) which I think is a pretty good deal and works out that the Audi achieved circa £42k- which means I have lost £3k over 5 months and 7k miles.
Once again thanks for all the advice over the last few months

I have come out of my RS4 recently as well. My car was march 07 fully loaded, cost me £ 54K new, sold it December 2007 with 5K on the clock and got back £ 50K. I picked up an E60 M5 two weeks ago, June 07 with under 2K miles - the car is listed at £ 77K, and I paid £ 54,750.
Seems to be a few of us on here who have decided to dump the RS4 in favour of various BMW's.

I picked the car up last week Saturday, 18th, and have already done 750 miles, just can't stop driving the damn thing. I am averaging 18 mpg at the moment, very gentle driving. I did a round trip to Birmingham and back, 230 miles in total on 3/4 tank fuel. The journey up was mostly on cruise control 80-85 mph, but on the way back to London, I did take a few liberties with her. Overall, not bad considering it is a 500bhp V10.
